Terms of Service

By using Steady, you agree to the terms below. The most important ones come first.
Steady is not a medical service
This is the most important thing on this page. Steady is a peer-support-style AI companion. It is not:
- A medical service
- A diagnostic tool
- A substitute for therapy, sponsorship, or addiction treatment
- A crisis line
If you are in medical danger — including alcohol or benzodiazepine withdrawal, which can be fatal — please contact a doctor or call 911. If you are in emotional crisis, call or text 988.
Steady is designed to recognize these moments and route you to professional resources. But it is not, and cannot be, a replacement for them.
You are responsible for your own care
By using Steady, you acknowledge that the AI coach's responses are generated by a language model and may sometimes be wrong, incomplete, or unhelpful. You are responsible for your own decisions and your own care. If something the coach says doesn't feel right, listen to that.
Acceptable use
Steady is for personal use by individuals in or considering recovery. You agree not to:
- Attempt to use Steady to harm yourself or others
- Reverse-engineer the app or our servers
- Use the app on behalf of someone else without their knowledge
Account and subscriptions
Steady Pro subscriptions are billed through Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled per Google Play's refund policy. A 3-day free trial is available for new Pro subscribers; you will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Steady, Dyeverse Family Ventures LLC, and our service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. This includes, without limitation, any harm arising from reliance on the coach's responses. Our total liability for any claim related to Steady shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Disclaimer of warranties
Steady is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular outcome will result from using it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll note the date at the top and announce material changes in the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
